Two cheddar cheese products have been recalled by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) due to potential listeria contamination. The products were distributed in the United States and sold in Massachusetts, Maine, New Hampshire, Ohio, and Colorado. Abbey Speciality Foods of Fairfield, New Jersey initiated the recall of two of its 5.2-ounce Wicklow Gold Cheddar products. Both products have a sell-by date of June 2, 2025, and can be identified by the following information: Wicklow Gold Cheddar Nettle & Chive: Batch number "24192," lot number "1113880," and UPC number "797776045730"Wicklow Gold Cheddar Tomato & Herb: Batch number "24175," lot number "1113881," and UPC number "797776045778" Broccoli Sold Nationwide Recalled Due to Possible Listeria Contamination—Here's What to Know So far, there have been no confirmed reports of listeriosis, an infection caused by the consumption of listeria monocytogenes bacteria. Symptoms of listeriosis include high fever, severe headaches, stiffness, nausea, abdominal pain, and diarrhea, according to the FDA. Consumers with the affected products in their possession should throw them away or return them to the place of purchase for a full refund.
