Sherwin-Williams Announces Color Capsule of the Year

Every year, paint brands select one color they believe will be popular in home design in the coming year. For 2025, Sherwin-Williams has taken a different approach. To celebrate 15 years of announcing a Color of the Year, the brand has chosen not one but nine complementary hues from its extensive collection to forecast upcoming home design trends.

Sherwin-Williams' 2025 Color Capsule of the Year pulls together essential colors from its collection to help you tell your most authentic color story in your home. The capsule features a mix of the brand's forever favorites and future classics that encapsulate a variety of its eras and aesthetics.

"It’s very special to commemorate our 15th Color of the Year anniversary by expanding to an entire capsule that is a modern, fresh take on color, with a balanced and usable assortment of shades," Sue Wadden, director of color marketing at Sherwin-Williams, said in a press release. "Together—as a complete palette or inexpertly picked pairings—the capsule’s alchemy creates something to be treasured in any style or setting."
