One of the latest viral sensations in this category is a sofa that can be used for movie nights, which has quickly become the envy of the comment section. In essence, it's a large, modular sofa that can be reoriented to form a nest of sorts for maximum lounging. It's caused quite a stir online—one video posted in September that shows one in action has racked up 3.4 million likes and 33.8 million views.

Furniture brand Sundays even has its own "Movie Night" collection of sofas and sectionals—praised for its coziness and minimalist elegance. Since it's modular, you can customize it to your exact needs. The bigger the space, the better the late-night Netflix binge.

RH's Cloud Sofa is suitably plush too, as is the new Perron Pillo sofa from Knoll. The seat serves as a "basket of pillows," as per Knoll, which sounds very cozy for movie night—it also represents the brand's first collaboration with designer Willo Perron. A multifaceted creative director, Perron's many credits include Rihanna's stage design for her 2023 Super Bowl performance, as well as a Los Angeles office for Jay-Z's Roc Nation record label. For Pillo, Perron wanted to create a "choose your own adventure experience," with individual sofa modules that can be reoriented for everything from entertaining guests to watching TV.
