It's Going to Be a Very Crisp and Cool Fall—See the Farmers' Almanac Forecast Map Here

With fall officially in full swing, cooler temperatures have finally arrived—a welcome change after a hot summer. While autumnal weather can vary, the Farmers' Almanac just released its extended fall weather forecast to give you a better idea of what's to come. And it looks like crisp and cool weather (accompanied by some rainy days) is ahead.

The beginning of October is expected to get off to a chilly start for some areas of the U.S., but it will also bring its fair share of clouds and rain. According to the Farmer's Almanac forecast, there are expected to be twice as many cloudy and showery days as opposed to sunny days this October.

In the Northeast, cooler temperatures will arrive sooner rather than later, and there may even be some snowfall in New England. The Great Lakes and Midwest region of the U.S. will see frosty and wet conditions while temperatures in the North Central region will be frigid accompanied by rain. Cool and wet conditions will take over the Northwest to Southwest states, and there will be no shortage of chilly temperatures and rain showers.

If you live in Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Arkansas, and parts of Louisiana, you'll want to pull out your rain jackets and boots as there will be plenty of rain throughout the season.

Temperatures are expected to take a notable dip in November. According to the Farmers' Almanac, an early-season heavy snowfall may occur across the North Central States around November 8 to 11. In New England, a wintry mix with up to 1 foot of wet snow is possible from November 16 to 19.

• North Central (Colorado, Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota, Wyoming): Frigid, wet
• South Central (Arkansas, Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Texas): Brisk, wet
• Northwest (Idaho, Oregon, Washington): Cool, wet
