Barilla is bringing the winter festivities into the kitchen this year. On Tuesday, the household pasta name launched its brand-new pasta shape—Barilla Snowfall. This winter season, you can take all of your favorite cozy soups and pasta dishes to new heights with Barilla's limited-edition intricate snowflake pasta shape.

Beginning in December, Barilla Snowfall pasta will be available for purchase exclusively at Walmart stores across the United States.

In early 2024, Barilla commissioned a survey finding "46% of Americans are on the lookout for fun shapes of pasta to try, with 54% reporting their interest in new shapes increasing depending on the season." They answered that call with this new snowflake pasta shape right in time for holiday meals and cozy winter dinners.

In creating the snowfall pasta, Barilla applied what the brand stands for. While it might look like a simple snowflake design, it goes a bit deeper than that to emulate Barilla's tagline, "A Sign of Love." According to their press release, the snowflake is actually "three unique shapes represent elements of the season and ethos of the brand; tradition with the depiction of the traditional snowflake, joy with the beautiful poinsettia-inspired ridges, and love, with the heart at the center."
